Dan Talbot holds a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (1996) and attended the prestigious Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine (1995). He is the recipient of a Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Fellowship Award in Painting and Merit Award in Painting. Residencies include Lijiang Studio Residency, Yunnan, China; Ucross Foundation, Wyoming; Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; and the MacDowell Colony Residency, Peterborough, NH.
